Vanilla is the most famous aroma in the world, while its cultivation as a houseplant is rather rare. It is the only orchid whose fruits are edible. To develop well, this epiphytic orchid requires a support to climb and a substrate rich in organic matter - composed of sphagnum moss, bark and perlite. The flower has a short life, they open in the morning and close after a few hours.
