Sarracenias are carnivorous plants of humid environments. They are part of the passive trap carnivorous plants. In fact, insects attracted by the sweet nectar of the urn-shaped leaves cannot escape. The Barba Green variety has a beautiful shade of green and red. As with the majority of carnivorous plants, avoid giving them insects, they do very well on their own. You can cut dry or damaged urns to avoid the risk of rot. Sarracenias require a period of winter rest and do not tolerate the excess minerals found in tap water. This excess could be fatal to him. It is important to water with demineralized water which can be purchased in pharmacies or with rainwater. Melted snow works great!
