Sarracenias are carnivorous wetland plants. They are part of the passive trap carnivorous plants. Indeed, the insects attracted by the sweet nectar of the urn-shaped leaves cannot come out. The Dixie Lace variety bears a beautiful shade of red. As for the majority of carnivorous plants, avoid giving it insects, they manage very well on their own. You can cut dry or damaged urns to avoid the risk of rotting. Sarracenias require a winter rest period and do not tolerate the excess minerals found in tap water at all. This excess could be fatal to him. It is important to water with demineralized water which can be bought in pharmacies or with rainwater. Slush works great!
