Rhapis excelsa, also known as the bamboo palm or Lady Palm, is a refined and elegant indoor palm, highly valued for its classic beauty and high tolerance to indoor growing conditions. Its palmate, dark green, and lustrous leaves are divided into narrow segments, giving it a fan-like appearance. Indoors, it can reach 1.5 to 3 m in height, depending on space and care, while remaining compact and elegant. It tolerates medium indirect light and even partial shade well, making it ideal for dimly lit rooms. However, it prefers good ambient light for denser foliage.
