Platycerium 'Pegasus' is a spectacular variety of staghorn fern ( Platycerium ), renowned for its broad, elegantly cut fronds, providing a very graphic and airy ornamental effect. It is distinguished by two types of fronds: sterile, shield-like fronds that adhere to its support and fertile fronds large, deeply lobed and toothed, resembling outstretched wings, hence the name Pegasus . When hung, this epiphytic fern can be used to create a true work of art. By placing it on a wooden surface, as in its natural habitat, it clings to it and adds a rustic chalet touch to your decor. It prefers indirect light and constant humidity, but is sensitive to grease deposits and standing water on its fronds.
