Platycerium 'High Finger' is a spectacular variety of staghorn fern ( Platycerium ), highly prized for its architectural habit and long, slender fronds, which make it a sought-after collector's plant for epiphytic fern enthusiasts. It is distinguished by two types of fronds: sterile, shield-like fronds that adhere to its support and fertile fronds that very long, thin and straight, resembling "fingers" or vertical spears, hence the name High Finger . When hung, this epiphytic fern can be used to create a true work of art. By placing it on a wooden surface, as in its natural habitat, it clings to it and adds a rustic chalet touch to your decor. It prefers indirect light and constant humidity, but is sensitive to grease deposits and standing water on its fronds.
