The Madagascar Palm has a thick, pale green stem, covered with prickles. This stem constitutes its water reserve. At the end of the stem, its dark green leaves grow together like a crown. The Pachypodium is a small succulent tree that prefers bright light and fears excess watering. In winter, it may lose some leaves, but these will grow back in spring.

Caution, risk of toxicity if swallowed and irritation in contact with skin or eyes!
