A unique cactus thanks to its flattened, racket-like stems, called cladodes. The 'Cristata' variety is actually the dwarf variety of Opuntia Microdasys 'Yellow'. It has smaller, wavy cladodes and yellow dots (aeroles), without sharp spines. However, be careful because its fine fuzz can irritate the skin. Like most cacti, it prefers warmth and light.
Non-toxic to animals.
