A unique cactus thanks to its flattened, racket-shaped stems, called cladodes. Also known as the Bunny Ears cactus or Mickey Mouse cactus, due to its elongated, oval cladodes similar to a rabbit's ears. The 'Albata' variety has white dots (aeroles) without sharp spines. However, be careful because its small fuzz can irritate the skin. In its natural habitat, it produces edible fruits called prickly pears. Its leaves are also edible. However, in our homes, it rarely flowers. Like most cacti, it prefers warmth and light.
Non-toxic to animals.
