Bromeliads - a plant for color lovers! The foliage is arranged in a rigid, slightly arched rosette. The leaves have a vibrant green base, marked with cream to yellowish longitudinal stripes, sometimes washed with pinkish hues depending on exposure. The heart of the rosette can take on more pinkish or reddish tones when in bloom. It blooms for several months, but only once. Do not cut damaged leaves, as they shelter pups that will take over.
