Marantas have unusual foliage. This variety has paper-thin leaves, marbled white and speckled pink. To thrive, it needs a bright room and a humid environment. It does very well in a hanging pot. We love it for the movement of its leaves throughout the day. We recommend watering with demineralized water, which can be bought at a pharmacy, or with rainwater. Melted snow works very well! Marantas do not tolerate the excess minerals found in tap water very well. This excess can cause root burn and damage the foliage.
