Marantas have unusual foliage. This variety has paper-thin leaves that are marbled white and spotted with pink. To flourish, it requires a bright room and a humid environment. It does very well in a hanging pot. We love it for the movement of its leaves throughout the day. We recommend watering with demineralized water which can be purchased in pharmacies or with rainwater. Melted snow works great! Marantas do not tolerate excess minerals found in tap water very well. This excess can cause root burns and damage the foliage.
