Marantas have unusual foliage. This variety bears paper-thin, pale green leaves. Its spots appear red then dark green when ripe. It requires little light to flourish, but appreciates a warm and humid environment. It does very well in a hanging pot. We love it for the movement of its leaves throughout the day. We recommend watering with demineralized water which can be purchased in pharmacies or with rainwater. Melted snow works great! Marantas do not tolerate excess minerals found in tap water very well. This excess can cause root burns and damage the foliage.
