From the same family as the Marantas, the Ctenanthes perform similar movements depending on the time of day. We love it for the pattern and color of its foliage. Indeed, the upper side of the leaves has shades of dark to pale green, while the underside has a beautiful purple coloring. Ctenanthes require little light to thrive, but appreciate a warm and humid environment. We recommend watering with demineralized water, which can be purchased at the pharmacy, or with rainwater. Melted snow works very well! They do not tolerate the excess minerals found in tap water very well. This excess can cause root burns and damage the foliage.

Non-toxic to animals.
