Lepismium houlletianum is an elegant epiphytic cactus distinguished by its long, flat, cascading stems with slightly serrated edges. Its vibrant green foliage can, over time, form a dense, cascading plant, ideal for hanging pots.
Unlike desert cacti, this species naturally grows on trees in tropical forests, where it benefits from filtered light and higher humidity.
In spring or early summer, the plant may produce small white or cream flowers, followed by small, round, translucent fruits, further enhancing its ornamental appeal.
Indoors, its stems can reach 60 to 120 cm in length.
