The Hoya quinquenervia is a tropical climbing or trailing plant, appreciated for its textured foliage and delicate blooms. Its leaves are elongated, thick, and slightly veined, with a medium green hue that is sometimes lighter on new growth. Its growth is moderate, and over time, it develops long, flexible stems that can be guided on a support or left to trail.

Like many Hoyas, it produces small, waxy, often fragrant flowers in shades ranging from cream to pink. It rarely flowers before it is 2 years old. To encourage flowering, it is recommended to place it in a bright room and reduce the frequency of repotting. It prefers to be pot-bound.

Non-toxic to animals.
