Hoya Mathilde is a hybrid of Hoya carnosa (robust and floriferous) and Hoya serpens (compact and hairy), combining the best of both worlds. A unique climbing plant due to its flowering and foliage color. The 'Mathilde' variety has small, round to oval leaves, silver-speckled and slightly downy. Its small white to pale pink flowers have a soft, sweet fragrance. However, it rarely blooms before 2 years of age. To encourage flowering, it is recommended to place it in a bright room and reduce the frequency of repotting. It likes to be snug in its pot.
