Hoya finlaysonii is a particularly prized variety for its spectacular and heavily veined foliage. Its thick leaves, often oval or slightly elongated, are light to medium green, crisscrossed with very prominent dark patterns that resemble an artistic network of veins. This contrast gives the plant a graphic, almost "drawn" appearance. As a climbing plant, it develops long stems that can be trained on a trellis or allowed to trail.

Like other hoyas, it produces beautiful, waxy flower umbels over time, fragrant, usually white to cream with a darker center. However, it rarely flowers before it is 2 years old. To encourage flowering, it is recommended to place it in a bright room and reduce the frequency of repotting. It likes to be snug in its pot.

Non-toxic to animals.
