The Episcia cupreata 'Copper', also known as the flame violet or copper leaf plant, is a magnificent tropical plant, a cousin of African violets.
It is distinguished by its velvety foliage with coppery, bronze and greenish reflections, sometimes traversed by lighter veins. Its shiny, textured leaves capture light spectacularly. During flowering, it produces small orange-red tubular flowers, which contrast beautifully with its lush foliage.
Under optimal growing conditions, it can bloom all year round. It is recommended to water it by soaking, as it does not like water touching its leaves. Also, remove withered leaves and pinch stems to encourage dense, compact growth.
