Also known as the sea urchin cactus or sea cactus, Echinopsis eyriesii is particularly prized for its ease of care and spectacular flowering.
Its dark green, rounded, ribbed body often produces offsets at the base, creating a beautiful clump of cacti over time. In spring and summer, it produces large, trumpet-shaped white or pinkish flowers with a delicate fragrance. These flowers mostly open at night and last only one or two days, but their appearance is always impressive.
