From the same family as Marantas, Ctenanthes move similarly throughout the day. The Freddie variety is very popular for its elongated light to medium green leaves, marked with fine dark green chevron stripes. Ctenanthes require little light to thrive but appreciate a warm, humid environment. We recommend watering with demineralized water purchased at a pharmacy or with rainwater. Melted snow works very well! They do not tolerate the excess minerals found in tap water very well. This excess can cause root burns and damage the foliage.

Non-toxic to animals.
