From the same family as the Marantas, the Ctenanthes perform similar movements depending on the time of day. We love it for the pattern and coloring of its foliage. Indeed, the leaves are variegated with different shades of green and yellow. Ctenanthes require little light to flourish, but appreciate a warm and humid environment. We recommend watering with demineralized water which can be purchased in pharmacies or with rainwater. Melted snow works great! They do not tolerate excess minerals found in tap water very well. This excess can cause root burns and damage the foliage.

Non-toxic to animals.
