The Marantacea family is distinguished by its exceptional foliage. The Calathea Majestica 'White Star' catches the eye with its slender, white-striped leaves with a pink tint. We also love the purple underside of the leaves. Also known as the Prayer Plant because its leaves have the particularity of closing in the evening and opening during the day. It requires little light to thrive but appreciates a warm and humid environment. We recommend watering with demineralized water, which can be purchased at pharmacies, or with rainwater. Melted snow works very well! This plant does not tolerate the excess minerals found in tap water very well. This excess can cause root burn and damage the foliage.
