The Marantacea family stands out for their exceptional foliage. Calathea Majestica 'White Star' catches the eye with its slender leaves streaked with white with a pink reflection. We also love the purple colored underside of the leaves. Also called Peacock Plant because its leaves have the particularity of closing in the evening and opening during the day. It requires little light to flourish, but appreciates a warm and humid environment. We recommend watering with demineralized water which can be purchased in pharmacies or with rainwater. Melted snow works great! This plant does not tolerate excess minerals found in tap water very well. This excess can cause root burns and damage the foliage.
