The Calathea warscewiczii 'Jungle Velvet', also known as Goeppertia warscewiczii, is an exceptional tropical plant, renowned for its sumptuous, velvety foliage. Its large, oval leaves have a deep, silky green on top, adorned with lighter feather-shaped patterns, while the underside reveals a magnificent purplish burgundy hue. This soft, almost velvety texture gives it its nickname 'Jungle Velvet'.

It requires little light to thrive, but appreciates a warm and humid environment. We recommend watering with demineralized water, which can be purchased at a pharmacy, or with rainwater. Melted snow works very well! This plant does not tolerate the excess minerals found in tap water very well. This excess can cause root burn and damage the foliage.

Non-toxic to animals.
