The Marantaceae family stands out for its exceptional foliage. The Calathea Lietzei 'Stella' is a recent and very decorative variety of the Marantaceae family. The leaves are oval and elongated, with a medium to dark green color traversed by lighter veins and slightly silvery patterns. The underside of the leaves displays a purplish-violet hue, creating a refined contrast. Indoors, they generally reach 40 to 60 cm in height. Also called a Prayer Plant because its leaves have the particularity of closing in the evening and opening during the day. It requires little light to thrive but appreciates a warm and humid environment. We recommend watering with demineralized water, which can be purchased at a pharmacy, or with rainwater. Melted snow works very well! This plant does not tolerate the excess minerals found in tap water very well. This excess can cause root burn and damage the foliage.
