Calatheas have unusual foliage. The 'Rosy' variety has foliage that is graded from pink to a dark border. It requires little light to thrive, but appreciates a warm and humid environment. We recommend watering with demineralized water purchased from a pharmacy or with rainwater. Melted snow works very well! Calatheas do not tolerate the excess minerals found in tap water very well. This excess can cause root burn and damage the foliage.
