Calatheas have unusual foliage. This calathea has very dark oval leaves with thin pale pink lines. It requires little light to thrive but enjoys a warm, humid environment. We recommend watering with demineralized water, which can be purchased at a pharmacy, or with rainwater. Melted snow works very well! Calatheas do not tolerate the excess minerals found in tap water very well. This excess can cause root burn and damage the foliage.
Non-toxic to animals.
