The Marantaceae family stands out for its exceptional foliage. The Calathea Roseopicta 'Green Lipstick' has large, oval, shiny leaves, deep green in the center, highlighted by a light green margin that tends towards lime green. The underside of the leaves is a beautiful purplish violet, typical of Calatheas, which accentuates the decorative effect. Indoors, it can reach approximately 40 to 60 cm in height. Also called a Prayer Plant because its leaves have the particularity of closing at night and opening during the day. It requires little light to thrive but appreciates a warm and humid environment. We recommend watering with demineralized water purchased at a pharmacy or with rainwater. Melted snow works very well! This plant does not tolerate very well the excess minerals found in tap water. This excess can cause root burn and damage the foliage.
