Calatheas have foliage that is out of the ordinary. This variety has large round leaves of different shades of green and with a unique pattern. It requires little light to flourish, but appreciates a warm and humid environment. We recommend watering with demineralized water which can be purchased in pharmacies or with rainwater. Melted snow works great! Calatheas do not tolerate excess minerals found in tap water very well. This excess can cause root burns and damage the foliage.
