Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis) is an aromatic Mediterranean shrub, often pruned into a tree or small topiary shape for indoor cultivation. Its leaves are evergreen, fine, aromatic, dark green on top and slightly silvery underneath. It is very fragrant, releasing a soothing and fresh essential oil. It can reach between 30 and 80cm in height, depending on the frequency of maintenance pruning.
Rosemary is generally non-toxic to animals in small quantities. Excessive consumption can cause digestive problems, seizures, or complications.
