Alternanthera grows very well as a houseplant. The 'Ruby Flake' variety has small, wavy green and pink leaves. We love it for its fast growth and compact shape. It is recommended to pinch the tips of the stems (like basil) to encourage branching and the development of its dense foliage. During its growing season (summer), it prefers moist soil. Therefore, it is important to water regularly to keep the soil slightly moist, but not soggy.

Caution! Risk of toxicity if swallowed.
