Alpinia Zerumbet, also known as Shell Ginger, is prized for its foliage and spectacular blooms. Its large green and yellow leaves can reach 60 cm in length. They are aromatic when crushed. It bears clusters of white flowers, sometimes tinged with pink, with a yellow and red interior, reminiscent of a shell. Flowering generally appears in spring and summer.
