The Alocasia Scalprum has unique, textured foliage. The leaves are thick and leathery, shaped like a knife blade, hence the name Scalprum. We love its green color with metallic reflections. Alocasia prefers bright light and to be root-bound in its pot. Alocasias are also very thirsty for water and fertilizer. During its growing season, in summer, it is recommended to keep its potting soil slightly moist and to fertilize regularly.
Warning! Risk of toxicity if ingested. The sap of Alocasias contains oxalic acid - risk of irritation upon contact with skin or eyes.
