Alocasia Macrorrhiza is also known as Giant Alocasia . As a houseplant, it can reach up to 1m at maturity. The size of its leaves is equally impressive. The 'Variegata' variety has pale green foliage variegated with cream and white. Alocasia prefers bright light and a cramped pot. Also, this variety is very demanding in terms of water and fertilizer. During its growing season, in summer, it is recommended to keep its soil slightly moist and to add fertilizer regularly.
Caution! Risk of toxicity if swallowed. Alocasia sap contains oxalic acid - risk of irritation if it comes into contact with skin or eyes.
