Alocasia heterophylla 'Dragon's Breath' is a spectacular tropical plant, prized for its impressive and striking foliage. Its large, deeply veined leaves feature an intense dark green with very prominent veins, creating a striking contrast that evokes the power and majesty of a dragon—hence its name. Over time, it can reach an impressive size, giving a lush and dramatic tropical effect.
Under optimal growing conditions, it can even produce one new leaf per week. However, each bulb can only produce 5 to 10 leaves at a time. This plant prefers to be root-bound in its pot.
Caution! Risk of toxicity if ingested. Alocasia sap contains oxalic acid – risk of irritation upon contact with skin or eyes.
