Alocasia 'Black Velvet' has very dark, glossy foliage. Its name is apt, as its leaves appear as soft as velvet. Alocasia prefers bright light and a tight pot. Alocasias are also very demanding in terms of water and fertilizer. During its growing season in summer, it is recommended to keep its soil slightly moist and fertilize regularly.
Caution! Risk of toxicity if swallowed. Alocasia sap contains oxalic acid - risk of irritation if it comes into contact with skin or eyes.
