Agave Parryi is a spectacular succulent, forming a dense, symmetrical rosette of thick, rigid, fleshy, bluish-grey to silvery leaves. The leaves are wide and short, ending in a very prominent black terminal spine and edged with dark teeth. It is a monocarpic plant, meaning it dies after flowering. After several years (often 10 to 20 years), it produces a spectacular flower stalk 2 to 4 meters high, bearing numerous pale yellow to orange flowers. It often produces offsets (side shoots) around the mother plant, allowing for vegetative reproduction.
